What the extension does
Copy Multiple Tab URLs copies links from tabs in the Chrome window associated with its popup or a direct copy shortcut. It lets you choose individual tabs, use Chrome's native tab selection, or choose tab groups, then preview and copy the selected links as plain URLs, page titles with URLs, Markdown, or rich clickable links. Group headings are optional in Markdown and rich output.
Information used on your device
While the popup is open, Copy Multiple Tab URLs reads open-tab URLs, page titles, tab order, tab/window identifiers, selected/highlighted state, pinned state, and Chrome group names, colors, membership, and collapsed state. It uses this information to show the current window's lists and copy the links you choose. Search terms, checkbox selections, imported selections, preview text, and manual-copy recovery text remain in popup memory.
A direct copy shortcut reads the same metadata from the window where the command was invoked. A local background handler processes the request and sends the output to a hidden clipboard document. Its temporary text buffer is cleared after the write; the empty document can be reused for later commands. This does not record browsing activity or continuously read tabs. The background handler reads tab data only for a copy command.
Copy Multiple Tab URLs does not read page bodies, website form fields, cookies, passwords, authentication storage, or clipboard contents. It does not use the browsing-history API or record your browsing over time. An exact URL, title, or group label can itself contain personal or sensitive information. Copy Multiple Tab URLs displays and copies the information you select without extracting it into separate personal-data fields.
Storage and deletion
Copy Multiple Tab URLs saves only your chosen copy format, whether Include group names is on, and the light or dark theme if you pick one in the popup. The format and group-name settings are saved in Chrome's local extension storage; the theme is saved in the popup's local storage. It does not save or sync URLs, page titles, group metadata, selections, or search terms. Temporary popup state is discarded when the popup closes. Saved preferences remain until you change them or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes them; reinstalling or moving to a separate store installation starts with separate extension storage. Chrome manages keyboard shortcut assignments separately.
Clipboard and sharing
Copy Multiple Tab URLs writes selected output only when you click Copy or use the copy shortcut. It does not read the existing clipboard. Links retain their query parameters and fragments, which can contain private information or access tokens. Review your links before sharing them.
Copying puts your chosen text in the system clipboard. Clickable links writes both HTML with clickable HTTP/HTTPS page titles and a plain-text list of the original URLs; the receiving application chooses which representation to paste. Other URL schemes remain text in rich output and are preserved in the plain-URL fallback. You decide where to paste or share it. Chrome, your operating system, and other software with clipboard access control clipboard history, retention, and any clipboard syncing you enable. Closing or uninstalling Copy Multiple Tab URLs does not clear clipboard history or information you have pasted elsewhere. Clearing or replacing clipboard data is your operating system's responsibility.
Network, icons, and third parties
The extension does not transmit tab information to the developer, a backend, an analytics service, an advertising service, or an external favicon provider. Its executable code, styles, and interface icons are bundled locally, and it uses the system font. It requests website icons through Chrome's internal extension favicon endpoint; Chrome owns the browser's icon retrieval and caching behavior. There is no developer-controlled remote icon request. The extension's resource policy blocks outbound network connections.
The extension has no account, login, telemetry, ads, subscription, or developer-operated database. We do not sell browsing data, use it for advertising, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. Copying and pasting are user-directed actions described above.
The public homepage, privacy policy, and support pages are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare handles normal web requests and may maintain server logs, including request information such as IP addresses. The website contains no analytics, advertising, forms, or external scripts. Website hosting is separate from the extension, which does not send your tabs to that site. If you contact the publisher voluntarily, the publisher receives the message and contact details you provide to respond. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private browsing lists in a support request.
Permissions
The tabs permission lets Copy Multiple Tab URLs read URLs, titles, order, and selection for the current window. The tabGroups permission lets it recognize groups and optionally include group headings. clipboardWrite permits copying text and rich links. storage remembers the two copy preferences. favicon permits Chrome-provided site icons. offscreen allows the hidden clipboard helper to copy after a direct keyboard command without opening a popup or visible tab. The extension requests no host permissions and injects no code into websites.
Incognito windows
Chrome disables incognito access unless you enable Allow in Incognito for this extension. If you enable it, Copy Multiple Tab URLs uses the same local processing for the incognito window from which you open the popup or invoke a copy command. Copy preferences are extension-local; Chrome controls whether extension settings are shared between ordinary and incognito contexts. Copying private-window links still puts them on the system clipboard, subject to the clipboard controls described above.
Limited Use and policy changes
Copy Multiple Tab URLs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, when using information received through Chrome APIs. It uses tab information only for its disclosed link-selection, preview, and copying functions. The developer does not receive or read your browsing data through the extension.
We will update this policy when the extension's data practices change. Material new practices will be disclosed in the extension and listing before they take effect, with consent where required. The date above identifies this version of the policy.
