Copy Multiple Tab URLs

How to copy tab URLs

Copy Multiple Tab URLs copies links from the window where you open it. Pin the extension through Chrome's extensions menu to reach it from the toolbar.

Copy every tab in this window

  1. Open the extension in the window you want to use.
  2. Choose All tabs. Check the URL count and choose a format in Copy as.
  3. Click Preview links to check the output, then click Copy.

Copy tabs selected in Chrome

  1. Hold Ctrl, or Command on a Mac, and click tabs at the top of Chrome.
  2. Open the extension. When two or more Chrome tabs are selected, Selected in Chrome opens automatically.
  3. Uncheck the tabs you want to leave out. They stay visible so you can check them again. Use All tabs to add others, or Checked tabs to review your choices.
  4. Click Copy or press Ctrl+Enter / Command+Enter.

To read a new selection from Chrome, click Use tabs selected in Chrome. This replaces the tabs you have checked in the extension.

Copy tab groups

Choose Tab groups and check one group or several, then click Preview links or Copy. Collapsed groups are included. Links follow the tab order in this window, using each group's current tabs.

Choose a copy format

Plain URLs gives one URL per line. Title + URL puts each page title above its URL. Markdown makes each title a link using Markdown syntax. Clickable links copies linked titles into apps that support rich text and plain URLs into plain text apps. For Markdown and Clickable links, turn on Include group names to add headings. Tabs keep their original order.

Find and check tabs

In Choose tabs, search by title or URL. Hold Shift while clicking checkboxes to check a range. Check results includes the matching tabs. Uncheck all removes every checkmark, including tabs outside the search.

Copy without opening the popup

  1. Open the extension's help button and click Set keyboard shortcuts, or enter chrome://extensions/shortcuts in Chrome's address bar.
  2. Find Copy Multiple Tab URLs and set keys for Copy tabs selected in Chrome and Copy all tab URLs in this window.
  3. Close the popup and use your chosen keys in the window you want to copy.

No direct-copy keys are assigned by default. The shortcuts use your saved copy format and group-name setting. A number on the extension icon confirms how many URLs were copied; an exclamation mark means copying failed. Open the popup to review and copy manually.

If copying fails

The popup selects the output for manual copying. Press Ctrl+C or Command+C. For Clickable links, this manual fallback copies plain URLs. Keep the popup open while using its Copy button; closing it clears its temporary selection. If Chrome cannot read the window, reopen the popup and try again.

URL handling and Chrome versions

The extension preserves query parameters, fragments, and duplicate URLs. It requests no website access and reads no page body. It requires Chrome 120 or later. Enable incognito access in Chrome's extension details if you want to use it in private windows.
